Healing: When God Meets You in the Middle

Healing after betrayal, separation, or divorce is not about pretending you’re okay or rushing through the pain.

In this episode of In the Middle: Divorce Healing for Catholic Women, I share how my healing began to shift when I stopped only asking:

“Why is this happening?”

and began asking:

“Lord, how do You want me to respond?”

We talk about giving yourself permission to feel your emotions, recognizing the lies you may have started to believe, rediscovering your identity in Christ, setting healthy boundaries, and learning to be patient with yourself as God restores what has been wounded.

Healing does not mean forgetting what happened or pretending it didn’t hurt.

It means allowing God to meet you exactly where you are.

“The God of all grace…will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” — 1 Peter 5:10

You do not have to figure out the whole journey today.

Sometimes healing begins with simply asking:

“Lord, what is my next faithful step?”
